No. TherapistAssist requires zero upfront investment from the DME.

The only software you need is a modern web browser, like Google Chrome, Firefox, or Safari.

Functionality

Absolutely! Using our product, the therapist has everything that they need to select and fit a mask remotely without ever having to meet with the patient.

No. The TherapistAssist product is designed to offer the therapist with information and options so that he or she may make a more informed and more effective decision regarding PAP mask selection in a shorter period of time.

Absolutely not! We offer a prioritized list of masks sized according to our algorithm and manufacturer instructions. The therapist may, however, select any mask of their choosing based upon their best clinical judgement.

Absolutely not! Once a patient is in our database, if they need a new (or different) mask, all of the data on that patient, including the previous recommended masks are available to the provider. This makes mask exchanges and mask refitting much less labor intensive and far more effective.

Compliance & Security

Yes, our product is build using HiPAA-compliant technologies. E.g. data is encryoted during transport and at rest. For more information, please refer to the sovaSage privacy policy.

Each patient photo is encrypted and stored securely. Patient photo’s remain accessible to the home healthcare provider as needed for future patient interactions, including mask exchanges, mask refit or re-PAP procedures. The photo itself is retained only for use by the therapist. Anatomical data, derived form the photo, may be used to recommend future masks or new masks.
